We rebuilt the Intel Alerts experience from the ground up: a new unified dashboard, agentic event surveillance, and real-time alerts so your team gets only the signal they care about and have enough information to act. Here's what's new:

Agentic Monitoring

Describe what you want to watch in plain language and the agent builds and monitors with your context in mind. No taxonomy knowledge required.

• Type a prompt (e.g., "high-importance security incidents and governance changes for DeFi protocols on Ethereum") and see a live preview of the last 90 days before you save.
• Refined Views are still available if you prefer structured filters: target by Watchlist, Sectors, Ecosystems, or specific assets, then filter by event type, importance, and more.
• Six quick-start templates get you monitoring in under a minute: Governance, Security & Performance, Tokenomics, Regulatory, Infrastructure, and Important & Actionable.

New Actionable and simplified Importance levels make that crystal clear. We replaced urgency levels with a single binary label: Actionable. Every event now answers the one question your team is really asking: do I need to do something about this?

Get Notified as Stories are Developing

Earlier indication of substantiated events. Optionally receive substantiated events from Messari AI that are still developing. Filter to target Messari Verified events if you only want the highest signal from our Intel research team. Act on the signal early, or wait for Messari verification. You decide.

Impact Post Event

Every event now shows you what happened to Price, Mindshare, and Sentiment around it. Before and after values, percent change, and Live/7D/30D/90D windows with the event pinned on the chart. See which alerts actually moved the market without leaving the page.

Alerts Where You Need Them

Monitoring is built to alert your team, not just populate a dashboard. Messari processes 700+ sources continuously so events hit your Slack channel or inbox in minutes, not hours.

• Slack. Lightweight, readable alerts where you work. High-importance events rise to the top.
• Email. Context included: what happened, why it matters, what to watch next. Configurable from instant to daily digest.
• Mobile Push. Critical alerts on the go via the Messari PWA, installable on iOS or Android.
• Webhooks & API. Escalation-ready alerts for fast handoff to risk, comms, and governance teams. Feed directly into PagerDuty, Jira, or custom workflows.

Team Shared Views

Create a Monitoring view and share it with your entire team in one toggle. Shared views appear automatically for all team members, with each person controlling their own alert preferences. Read receipts track what has and has not been seen across the team.

We've significantly expanded the capabilities of Messari's hosted MCP server. If you're using AI agents or tools that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP), you can now plug them into Messari's full intelligence layer, using your API key.

What's an MCP server?

The Model Context Protocol is a standard that lets AI assistants (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and others) call external tools during a conversation. Messari's hosted MCP server gives these assistants direct access to our crypto data and research platform.

What's new

The MCP server originally shipped with a single tool, ask_messari, which lets agents ask natural language questions against Messari's data. We've now added five more tools that give agents structured, programmatic access:

Timeseries Data

• get_timeseries_catalog: Discover available datasets, metrics, and granularities from the Messari Timeseries API
• get_timeseries: Query timeseries data for crypto assets, protocols, and networks

Deep Research

• create_deep_research: Start an async deep research report on any crypto topic
• get_deep_research: Check status and retrieve a completed report
• list_deep_research: List all your deep research jobs

This means your agents can now do things like pull historical TVL data for a protocol, compare fee revenue across Layer-1 networks over time, or kick off the same deep research reports our analysts use, all without leaving your AI workflow.

The hosted MCP server works with Claude (via Connectors), Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, and any other MCP-compatible client. Setup takes about a minute.

We’ve released a new self-serve checkout experience that allows enterprise customers to purchase additional AI credits whenever they need them. Admins can manage their credits at https://messari.io/account/api and purchase additional credits at https://messari.io/enterprise/add-ons.

AI credits can be used across Deep Research inside the Messari app, our Copilot Slack bot, and through the Messari AI API. Credit purchases are charged immediately by credit card at checkout and become available for use right away.

Each additional seat costs $1,200 annually. Additional seats are charged immediately by credit card at checkout, with pricing prorated for the remainder of your current term. Once purchased, the new seats are added to your subscription and will appear on future invoices.
